We are seeking an experienced, dynamic Head of Business Development to lead the growth of Conclave, R3’s new privacy-preserving platform. 

R3’s Conclave team is on a mission to build the leading privacy-preserving platform for the development of tamper-proof software. Applications range from aggregating sensitive data to detect sophisticated types of fraud, training AI models with sensitive data sets, or aggregating sensitive transaction data for risk reporting across organisations.

Conclave is a software development kit, evolving to a suite of complementary cloud services, rooted in hardware-based confidential computing techniques, designed to bring privacy-preserving capabilities to developers globally.
As the Head of Business Development for Conclave, you will be directly responsible for creating and building a demand generation strategy for Conclave as well as the systems and processes required for an integrated Sales and Marketing team.  

You will take a hands-on approach to devising strategy and building out your team to deliver generate high-impact commercial results. This involves creating and scaling systems and processes, from setting up digital channels to automated workflows for inbound leads. You will also ensure a strong loop feedback loop between customer feedback and Conclave’s Product team and play an integral role in defining Conclave’s value proposition as we grow our market share. 

This role will also include Product Marketing, from developing our product positioning and key messaging to developing collateral such as webpages, blogs, white-papers, webinars etc to generate maximum traction and lead generation. 

Conclave is an early-stage product with huge potential, so you will need to be someone with the passion to drive Conclave’s value proposition to customers, partners, and developers, and the flexibility and creativity to drive direction changes for the business as you learn more about what customers need and where the opportunities lie.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Sales/Business Development Experience at a SaaS company – min. 4 years experience
  • Genuine curiosity when it comes to Privacy Enhancing Technologies. Proven ability to learn, understand and communicate the underlying technology of the products you are marketing
  • Passion for knowing your market and translating that expertise to actionable go-to-market plans
  • Bring product marketing experience to the team and a genuine eagerness to engage with our target audience
  • A hustler with a sleeves-up attitude to finding the right customers for Conclave and nurturing those relationships
  • Entrepreneurial flair and passion for start-ups – Not afraid to wear multiple hats, get your hands dirty, and do whatever is needed to scale

Day to Day:

  • Collaborate with R3 Sales team in enterprise account sourcing and conversion.
  • Serve as a senior spokesperson and thought leader for press, analysts, and industry events.
  • Define overall demand generation strategy and then build demand programs that measurably contribute to the sales pipeline including setting-up digital channels 
  • Create and scale the systems and processes required to support a metrics-driven marketing function.
  • Relay constant customer feedback to our Product team to ensure Product and GTM teams are aligned.
  • Take a hands-on approach to create strategy, motivate teams, and generate high-impact commercial results
  • Liaise, collaborate and influence changes to lead qualification and lead flow processes to direct reports, peers and senior leadership
  • Play a leading role in the development of our value proposition to ensure we grow our client base and market share
