R3 is seeking a seasoned Head of Product Marketing to lead, manage and build up a growing team of enterprise software product and content marketers who are targeting the financial services industry. The individual must have software experience, be a self-starter, and comfortable in ‘build mode’.  He or she must be adept at launching new technology to new markets and positioning less mature solutions. This role requires simplifying and translating complex technology into benefit-oriented messaging for both business decision makers and technical buyers across financial services.

The candidate must also thrive in a fast-paced start up software environment that requires resourcefulness, running with GTM projects, superior people skills, strong communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly and multi-task. Strategic thinking, project management and strong execution skills are required. R3 operates in an ever-evolving space and this global role will need to stay abreast of emerging technology to ensure messaging and positioning are accurate and effective. Experience with marketing software platforms, sandboxes and SDKs in capital markets (exchanges, financial market infrastructure firms), fintech and financial services is a big plus.

R3’s Product Marketing team is primarily responsible for partnering with product management to develop GTM (go-to-market) and sustaining programs for all new and current product offerings, generating content for use in demand generation campaigns, and equipping sales with enablement tools. The Product Marketing team is a part of the Global Marketing team and works closely with members of the wider Corporate and Field/Regional Marketing teams, as well as Product Development and Sales (direct and channel).

  • Partner with Chief Product Officer and product management teams to bring multi-party software offerings to market
  • Work with the Head of Marketing to conceptualize and implement a measurable global product marketing strategy primarily focused on digital assets, digital currencies and digital payments
  • Develop comprehensive industry and product GTM (go-to-market) and integrated marketing programs for all R3 platforms and software solutions, including those brought to market jointly with our partners.
  • These GTM programs include ‘story development’, including software product positioning, value proposition, benefits, target persona identification, validation with customers and analysts, and competitive intelligence.
  • Chair, plan and lead cross-functional product and industry GTM and sustaining programs
  • Lead and build up an analyst relations program, including a third-party analyst relations firm
  • Lead and develop content marketing, including primary research initiatives, white papers, market insight reports, blogs, infographics, videos, case studies, testimonial videos, landing pages, customer quotes, analyst reports, and third-party review sites.  All content will need to be optimized for SEO.
  • Structure a content strategy and timetable that delivers relevant content to the right personas at different points in the buying process.
  • Work with current Product Marketing team to understand the product and service offerings of key competitors; communicate differentiation in marketing materials and battle cards
  • Stay abreast of market trends to drive topics for content strategies
  • Create sales tools and training materials to support the sales cycle, and create external facing product content like sell-sheets, solution overviews, product videos
  • Deliver market facing presentations and thought leadership with content team for hosted events and webinars


  • Minimum 12 years technical /software product marketing experience; platform experience a big plus.
  • Strong project management skills are a must in this role
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and proven ability to manage numerous diverse projects
  • Management of all third-party vendors, including writers, analyst firms, creative agencies, multimedia specialists and more.
  • Extensive experience project managing, producing, executing and measuring product marketing programs
  • Demonstrate both strong strategic skills and the ability to ‘roll up their sleeves’ to get things done
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • A collaborative and flexible personality who adapts easily to change
  • Technology or software firm experience a must
  • Global fintech or financial services experience a big plus
  • DLT/blockchain and digital assets knowledge a big plus
