R3 is an enterprise blockchain software firm working with a broad ecosystem of more than 300 members and partners across multiple industries from both the private and public sectors to develop on Corda, our open-source blockchain platform, and Corda Enterprise, a commercial version for enterprise usage.
Our global team of over 190 professionals in 13 countries is supported by over 2,000 technology, financial, and legal experts drawn from our global member base.
Our Corda platform is already being used in industries from financial services to healthcare, shipping, insurance and more. It records, manages, executes institutions’ financial agreements in perfect synchrony with their peers, creating a world of frictionless commerce.
When we say “regulatory affairs,” we are referring to interactions with or relating to the public sector. That includes government departments, regulatory agencies (e.g., financial regulators, conduct authorities), and policy makers. We’re excited about how Corda can change the world and we are looking for an intern who can spend the summer supporting us in both regulatory affairs and GovTech.
The objectives of R3’s Regulatory Affairs team are:
· To proactively engage with regulators around the world to establish R3 as a credible source of expertise and honest input on policy matters
· To prevent regulatory impediments to the use of Corda and widespread adoption of Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT)
The objective of R3’s GovTech strategy is to identify and pursue opportunities to deploy R3’s Corda platform in the public sector.
Joining the Regulatory Affairs Team you get involved in a range of different policy and regulatory areas and support the team in maintaining relationships with high profile stakeholders across multiple regulators in the UK and globally. You will also work to develop relationships with partners who service the public sector and cultivate blockchain opportunities in government.
