Our Corda platform is already being used in industries from financial services to healthcare, shipping, insurance and more. It records, manages, executes institutions’ financial agreements in perfect synchrony with their peers, creating a world of friction-less commerce.
 
This role shall sit within the Venture Development team. This team is responsible for R3’s contacts with early stage companies and offers support for their development to be R3’s future paying customers. The Venture Development team recruits net new start-ups to Corda, develops and manages relationships with Advisors, Accelerators, Angel Investors and VC’s and delivers scalable support to start-ups. It also manages the R3 in Residence program and monitor its admission, timeline, and other gating processes. The program works with seasoned business leaders, applying their experience to DLT to create new CorDapps going to production in 18-24 months to foster the further growth of the Ecosystem. 

In this role, you represent R3 and the Corda ecosystem towards start-ups, and partners such as incubators, accelerators, trade organizations and governmental organizations focused on start-ups and innovation ecosystem.

You will initiate, organize and run meetups and events at high velocity with the objective to recruit net new start-ups to the Corda ecosystem and to offer them support as they develop their business.

The role includes attending events, conferences and engage in the innovation and startup ecosystem globally with speaking slots and panel participation. You are responsible to develop, grow and maintain relationships with experts and capital providers and develop partnerships with incubators and accelerators. Together with others in the team you develop and deliver relevant Venture Development content to start-ups. This can take the form of playbooks, questionnaires, guides, and workshops.  
 
 

Responsibilities

  • Develop, grow and maintain the Corda start-up community and represent it externally. 
  • Set-up and run venture development meet-ups and events
  • Speak at conferences globally
  • Develop and maintain relationships with incubators and accelatarors oRecruit and develop relationships with mentor experts and capital providers
  • Develop strong relationships in the start-up ecosystem with founders, mentors, angels, vc’s and advisors.  
  • Establishing and manage a database of relevant startups, VC’s, mentors and innovation data
  • Recruit mentors and develop sustainable mentor programs
  • Building alliances with influencers in the ecosystem
  • Scout high quality startups locally and internationally and recruit net new start-ups to the corda platform
  • Represent R3 in conferences and external events, coordinate with marketing team as necessary
  • Support and advise teams on how to navigate the market and what support can be provided
  • Plan, execute  and host a high volume of engaging events and meetups for all ecosystem participants
  • Help to create value propositions of Corda content and R3 support for start-ups active in our ecosystem

Education and Experience

  • University Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Science, Arts or relevant education
  • 4+ years’ experience in working with startups, incubators, accelerators, or VCs Experience leading and running incubator and accelerator programs, workshops, training
  • Experience in creating content for innovation programs, workshops and training
  • Self-starter with entrepreneurial vision, critical thinking
  • Innovative and creative mindset, very organized, good presentation skills
  • Experience working in entrepreneurial environments such as incubators and accelerators is a must
